RSS (RDF Site Summary) is a technology standard that many sites use to distribute their news content to interested a tech-savvy audiences. Pencilneck Software has used RSS in their CMS for several years now. It is a standard feature to the Pencilneck CMS, Basic Edition. Beyond getting your news feed out to the world, RSS can be used in a much more interesting way.
The Pencilneck Social Network platform comes with many types of RSS feeds and an RSS agregation system that helps the network of individuals stay in touch with each other. Using RSS feeds you can log on as a member of a Pencilneck Social Network and receive RSS driven notifications of all of events, news, blog posting or even friends activities. The RSS aggregator brings all relevant information for any user onto their "dashboard" or profile page.
